Sleep on a Clean Pillowcase

Rules December 21st, 2007

It seems obvious, but you want to keep a good supply of clean pillowcases at the ready. Change them frequently, more so than whatever your mom told you works for people without skin issues. In a pinch at a friend’s house or otherwise pillowcase-deprived, use a clean tshirt as a pillowcase.

If you typically toss your pillowcase aside and end up with your face pressed against the sheet all night, change that frequently as well. Otherwise, you can put a clean empty pillowcase under your pillow.

Don’t forget about sleeping on the couch or in your favorite easy chair, which most of us don’t wash very often. If your face will be pressed up against something, make sure it’s clean, and if not use the clean empty pillowcase or tshirt to protect your skin.
